Our mission is to develop critical thinking skills in teachers and students around the world. In many developing countries, education is poor and is based on “rote” memory. Students are not encouraged to think for themselves or examine their own beliefs and how this affects their decisions. This training helps them to understand and develop these skills which they can then use in their everyday lives. Our program uses the 6 step Critical Thinking method developed by Dr. Christopher DiCarlo as shown in the following video.
The Critical Thinking Project provides training, salaries and materials for presenters to bring these skills to developing nations. We are working in Guatemala and Uganda (see Guatemala page). Also, we have groups in Rwanda and Iraq interested in the project.
