He is the founder of Nigerian humanism, and the recipient of IHEU's Distinguished Services to Humanism Award. His doctorate at the University of Bayreuth in Germany was achieved with a dissertation on witchcraft in Ghana.

Hank Pellissier is founder/director of the Brighter Brains Institute, a nonprofit that provides Critical Thinking and humanitarian aid in the SubSahara. He writes on education, brain development, and character virtues for GreatSchools.org and UC Berkeley's Greater Good Magazine: Science-Based Insights for a Meaningful Life.

Gail Miller has long been an advocate for secular education in developing countries. She co-authored a children's book "Why Don't We Go To Church?" Gail spent over 20 years as a social worker in mental health. She lives in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
